New Britain Avenue near New Park Avenue

West Hartford, ConnecticutMay 08, 20050 Comments

Police frequently set up speed traps along New Britain Ave. between New Park Ave. and the Hartford city line. Cruisers are frequently parked at the Sunoco station on this stretch of New Britain Ave. and in the driveways of several businesses. They are also on the lookout for drivers who run red lights along this stretch. Stay at 30-35 mph to avoid a stop.

They hang out every night at the shell station on Albany Ave off North Main Street.

Troutbrook Drive near Asylum Avenue

As your travelling northbound troutbrook towards the Uconn campus, they like to hide just after the 2 curves in the road, up on the leFort I have seen just a single officer with a cruiser parked in a residence driveway, and I have also seen a team where one officer on foot uses laser (i think) from behind a tree and the other is a chaser, usually parked in one of the driveways on the leFort Stick to around 40-45 and you should be fine…

South Main St

West Hartford, ConnecticutNov 24, 20030 Comments

Traveling on S Main away from 84, and just past Rock Ledge golf club, on foot they will hide behind a tree and shoot instant-on radar (only their arm is visible). They have chasers sitting on a nearby street, and I’ve even seen the officer step out into the street and simply point at the offending car, then the side of the road. South Main is patroled heavily everywhere, but this trap is especially tricky.

North Main Street

This trap is a favorite of the West Hartford Police Department. They sit in the American School for the deaf parking lot and they get people just at the end of a long straight away.
