US Highway 95 near Exit Number 18S
Right after the Route 95 exit 18 South off-ramp, there is a slight rise, enough to hide the cruiser until it’s too late to see him.
The unit is there during the day and during commuting hours. There is a 5MPH forgiveness, but not much more than that!
Interstate 95 near Exit Number 18
If you are heading north on I-95 in Connecticut, after you pass the off-ramp for exit 18 (Sherwood Island exit- Westport), the police wait on the long on ramp which is obscured because of a hill. Also if you are heading south, they wait near the off ramp of exit 18. Both sides of the exit are well designed for officers to wait and hide in order to trap motorists.
RT 136 heading from train station to Norwalk town line.
The police sit in the driveway along the straightaway after crossing under the railroad bridge at the train station. Posted at 35, don’t go over 40 here.
Route 33/ Riverside Ave.
Upon leaving I-95 at exit 17 and heading north toward Westport, Route 33 is usually backed up during the day. In late evening and night, though, the road is empty and the 30 mph speed limit is ridiculous, especially for someone just coming off the highway.
