Wilton, Connecticut Speed Traps
State Route Route 7 near Near Continental Motors
Cop sits across the street and south of Continental Motors. Will not budge on his radar readings, will write you up for the whole 9 yards. Seems to have a dislike of motorcycles.
Ridgefield Road near North Fire Station
The Wilton Police sit at the North Wilton Fire Station on Ridgefield Road trying to catch speeders north bound, but beware they do not always run their radar detectors. Don’t fly by to fast if your detector is not going off!
State Route 7 near Wolfpit Road
A police officer is stationed at the Commuter parking lot on route 7 (Danbury Rd.) during many hours of the day and many days of the week. This parking lot is just south of Wolfpit Rd. A traffic light is in place right at the Wolfpit Rt. 7 intersection, followed by a 100 yd+ straightaway. Many people used to race at this light and cops are always aware of people going more then 10 over the limit.
State Route 7 near Kensett Dr. Drive
A police officer is commonly stationed in the empty parking lot on Rt. 7 across the street from Seymours Hardware. This is approx. 1/4 mile north of Kensett Rd. and 1/2 mile south of Grumman Hill Rd. The majority of tickets given from this location are from 6 PM to 1 AM and tend to be seen more on fridays and weekends.
Grumman Hill Road
This trap is set up on a hill just where one normaly begins braking to slow momentum. The police set up at the only intersection on the hill.Limit is 25 so its not to hard to go over,in my case 44.
