Odessa, Delaware Speed Traps

This stretch drops from 50 to 35 at the top of the small hill leading into downtown Odessa. The State Police office is located at the corner of 13 and Main and consequently sets up traps at the bottom of the hill to catch anyone driving over 45. The police are set up to the left in the parking lot and direct offenders up the road to awaiting foot-patrol officers handing out tickets. It is not unusual to see 2 or 3 vehicles parked at a time waiting for their tickets. This trap occurs randomly during any month, but I’ve noticed them mostly on weekends.
