Apopka, Florida Speed Traps

As you approach Apopka and U.S. Hwy. 441 the speed drops from 65 to 45. FHP sit under the overpass just after speed drops. Apopka PD sit near U.S. Hwy. 441 just before the end of Hwy. 429.

On 441 at the 441/436 split, the radar is used to capture south bound traffic in the double lane. Speed is 35 & if you don’t ride your brake, you’ll get hit with 45-50 mph as the terrain is downhill.

Cops either sit on the side of the road on their motorcycles or in the middle of the road…it’s a school zone

Motorcyle police like to sit in empty lake access lot or in trees across from lot or end on road. Actually they sit anywhere hidden on this road. It is easy to speed because it is downhill and speed posted is only 25.

U.S. 441 southbound towards Orlando, go past SR 436 entry and the Apopka PD is usually sitting on the right side in the grass under the trees. Hard to spot until you are on top of them. Speed limit is 35 mph but you gain speed as you go down the hill so watch it!
