Avon Park, Florida Speed Traps

I drive this route 2-3 times a day and it stretches from the Shell station past Bill Jarett ford to the end of the Avon Park City limits, which ends at Stryker Road & C-17. Sometimes 2-3 marked Crown Victoria’s sit on the northbound side of the highway in the parking lot of the Oaks at Avon Nursing Home, or just atop the hill under the trees, and also a pitch black unmarked Crown Victoria sits just over the hill (very hard to see at night) using the KA-Band radar. Usually their is 1-2 squad cars in the southbound side beside the orange groves. Speed Limit is 45 MPH
