Bradenton, Florida Speed Traps
Honore Ave east of Lockwood Ridge Rd.
They sit at the bottom of the hill behind the trees in the median.
North of Mote Ranch – Honore north of Palomino Circle
Radar set up on a regular basis on Honore north of Palomino Circle. This is the area leaving Mote Ranch where the road expands from 2 without a median to 4 lanes with a grassy/treed median strip. Speed limit is set at an unusually low 35 rather than a normal 45. An obvious attempt by Bradenton to force money from law abiding citizen’s pockets to their coffers. Cops sit just south of the median checking speed north and south bound.
Hwy 41 @ hwy 70
On Hwy 70 at stoplight, ‘officers’ rush out of the bushes and get people for seatbelt violations, often 3-4 officers at a time running thru traffic like jackals in for the kill. Usually 2-3 times per week.
I74 Northbound, around mile 220
Policeman standing next to his car in the median shooting radar south toward the northbound cars.
Shocked I didn’t get pulled over. Hopefully this isn’t the start of speed cameras for tickets by mail in Florida
SR 70 1/4 mile east of I-75
