Bradenton, Florida Speed Traps
State Route 64 near Interstate 75
The 3 mile stretch of SR 64 (Manatee Avenue East) between downtown Bradenton and I-75 is patroled heavily by both marked and unmarked cars. The speed limit drops rapidly from 55 mph to 35 mph with very little notice.
In addition to the patrol cars on the road there are cars also assigned to monitor various points with laser.
21st Avenue near 26th Street
speed traps, usually weekend afternoons.
Tamiami Trail near Just North of Airport
One or two Bradenton police cars sit behind the large entrance sign (to the private jet area) on east side of US 41 just north of the airport
State Route 64 near East 7th Street
Speed limit goes from 50mph to 45mph to 35mph within 4 blocks. If you miss the signs, they pull you over. They tend to be getting a lot of people from out of state because it is so easy to miss the speed change signs.
9th Street near Church
Usually between 63rd and whitfeild two unmarked crown vics (blue & red) will sit in the grassy area across from the church. They show up about 5 o clock and will pull over several cars at once. They are only there about once a month but still be careful.
