Between the intersecton of Yontz rd and the community college the speed limit is 50 MPH, heading towards intersection from the direction of the community college the speed limit is 60 MPH, as you go over the hill the FHP station is on the right. FHP will sit along 98 just past the station and get you as you come over the hill. They will literally pull you if you are even 3 miles over. I drive this route 2x a day, never been pulled, but see folks pulled over at least 3-4 times a week.

US Hwy 41 @ Powell Rd northeast of intersection

I have observed both FHP and HCSO vehicles "shooting" vehicles traveling northbound on US Hwy 41 north of Spring Hill Rd. Sometimes the vehicle is an unmarked FHP car or pick-up truck.

I was stopped traveling northbound on US Hwy 41by an unmarked black FHP car because the tinting on the cab windows of my truck was "too dark." The trooper had an electronic device to check the darkness of my window tint. Although I did not have to pay a fine (the tint was on there when I bought the vehicle several years ago), I see many other vehicles everyday with window tint as dark as mine, and I had honestly never heard of this law before. I assume other drivers have not heard of it either. The trooper told me to remove all my cab window tint or be cited next time.
