Lyons Road near Wiles Road

Coconut Creek, FloridaSep 01, 20080 Comments

Normal posted speed is 45 MPH for this 6 lane roadway. It is easy to get over 55 and get stopped. There is a school zone between Wiles Road & the Sawgrass Expressway. It drops the speed to 15 MPH during school zone hours. It is real easy to miss the flashing yellow light during rush hour. School zone violations are extremely expensive.

Wiles Road near Lyons Boulevard

Coconut Creek, FloridaAug 19, 20080 Comments

Heading East on Wiles Rd as soon as you cross Lyons Rd just after the big set of trees and bushes on the South side (right) across from the 7-11. Can’t see them until they’ve already tagged you. They are usually there after the nearby Monarch High school gets out and also from the hours of 4:30-6:30 night time radar not typical.

Lyons Road near Turnpike Overpass

Coconut Creek, FloridaMar 31, 20080 Comments

Northbound or southbound Lyons Road between Atlantic Blvd. and McNab Road. The officers sit in the median, either south of, or north of the Turnpike Overpass. Usually there are 2 officers. Speed is 45, and they sometimes hide behind trees or sit in a blind spot for drivers. Speed is debatable at this time since there was construction of the overpass, there are still some 35 mph signs posted._

Sample Road near just west of Turnpike

Coconut Creek, FloridaOct 10, 20070 Comments

I was traveling westbound on Sample Road, and went over the Turnpike. The cop was parked in the median, about 1/4 to 1/2 mile west of the Turnpike overpass, and just nailed me. It happened about 10PM, with no traffic. So easy to go 55MPH on this road, with speed limit 45MPH. Slow down going through Coconut Creek.

Lyons Road near Coconut Creek Parkway

Coconut Creek, FloridaDec 26, 20060 Comments

Lyons Road Northbound right before the last street before leaving the neighbor hood and arriving at Coconut Creek Parkway. Coconut Creek PD likes to hide behind the bushes and poke is radar and sometimes lidar around the corner. It is very hard to know if he is there until its too late.
