This is a 3 miles stretch of 35mph. Police set up at various locations in driveways and alongside the road. Predominately they are set up for the north bound traffic.

N. Halifax Ave between Seabreeze BL & University BL

Daytona Beach, FloridaMar 31, 20140 Comments

Always 2 motorcycle or cruiser cops. There are multiple apartment building entrances and bushes allowing them to go unseen. The speed is 30mph. If they don’t catch you on Halifax they have a secondary cruiser on Universty behind the fire station. This one catches those turning at the red light and those speeding up down Halifax. This trap is set up at random intervals throughout the month.

W. Int’l Speedway Blvd. near LPGA Blvd.

Daytona Beach, FloridaJun 14, 20111 Comments

Both city and county donut munchers love to congregate in the median or off the eastbound shoulder here at night when big events are in town (NASCAR race, Bike Week, etc.). With all their lights off they are virtually impossible to see, as there are no street lights in this area. Keep your radar detector on!

LPGA Blvd. West of Williamson Blvd.

Daytona Beach, FloridaDec 29, 20100 Comments

Between Williamson Blvd. and the new Holiday Inn. There are often police stationed just west of the Halifax Humane Society on the north side of the street. Another potential trap is the Father Lopez High School entrance on the north side of LPGA just a few miles west of the first trap. There is a blinker light that seems to go on even when there is no school in session!
