Edgewater, Florida Speed Traps
Indian River Boulevard near Entire length of Street
The entire length of Indian River Blvd (Exit 244 off of Interstate 95). Police can be at several locations and changed regularly. Edgewater police will get you as little as one mile over the limit and do not want to entertain excuses. I have never received a ticket but my family has. When I was speaking with a group of officers one evening at a MVA site, I asked them why the enforcement is so strict and high. The answer was that there is no acceptable excuse for not obeying the traffic limits so they do not want to hear any and that it usually only aggravates the situation more when a driver tries to offer them. I then asked the group if they ever let anyone off the hook with a warning. Just about everyone there said no.
