Fanning Springs, Florida Speed Traps

This is a speed trap not only because the rapid change in the speed limit from the bridge to the agricultural inspection station, but it is also where highway patrol rest to make you think they are ag officers. They are just waiting for the unsuspecting motorist to drive by. Be careful out there!

As you cross over the Hwy 19 Bridge at the Suwannee River in Fanning springs, the speed limit changes from 45 on the Dixie county side of the bridge to 35 on the levy County side. You won’t see the sign until you crest the top of this short high bridge. Good luck!
