Fort Pierce, Florida Speed Traps
US Highway 1 and State Route 5 Crossing near Georgia Avenue
Just south of Georgia Avenue on US 1; speed trailer sitting on side of road, while deputies and Unmarked law enforcement are pulling people. Speed limit is below what it should be for the area. This area is often patrolled by unmarked vehicles. Be careful!_
Indrio Road near US Highway 1
Between Us1 and the feeder road. By the McDonalds and Winn Dixie. Goes from 50 to 25 in a matter of a mile. Cops like to hide in the parking lot where the trees blocks your view before its too late.
State Route SR70 near State Highway SR9
Speed limit is set at 45 MPH which is much below a practical driving speed for the road conditions and the troopers hide and stalk. The location is out in the country west of Fort Pierce and in my opinion 60 MPH is a more practical speed.
Bell Avenue near Sunrise Boulevard
A patrol car sits on the south side of Bell Ave., just past the blinking light at Sunrise Blvd. Oncoming traffic (westbound headed toward 25th St) can not see the car due to road elevation.
Seaway Drive near Bridge
The police hide across the street from Chuck’s Seafood Restaurant, near the entrance to Harbor Isle Condos. The speed limit is only 35 mph going over the bridge onto Hutchinson Island, and all the way down Seaway Drive. As you enter the Island on the bridge, they use laser guns and clock you on the bridge, before you get the opportunity to see the. Strictly enforced!
