Both Sides of the Black Creek Bridge
Troopers and CCSO sit on the down side of the bridge and wait for speeders coming either north or south over the bridge. They are there mostly at night or early mornings. Look out for the motorcycle CCSO hiding and holding a radar gun at the entrance of black Creek Trail too! Lots of times CCSO has tag teams working this location.
State Highway 16 near Bulkhead Road
Officers sit on the section (Kennerly Ave) of Highway 16 that leads to/from the Shands Bridge where it drops from 55mph to 45mph. They will sit there (sometimes 2 cars facing both directions) in the dark or hiding behind trees using pulse radar. If you do not drop down to the 45mph in time you don’t stand a chance against the pulse radar.

Hwy 16 East
Police are monitoring westbound traffic right after the highway
splits into divided 4 lane. Drivers passing slower traffic with a ‘burst’
of speed get nailed. Usually there on weekends, definitely on holiday
weekends.
