Typically in a Ford F25o crew cab , Pewter colored , Sitting in the entrance to the parking for Raymond James Stadium if headed north on Dale Mabry just before crossing M.L.K.
Highwoods Preserve Parkway near Bruce B. Downs Boulevard
In the AM hours there are Tampa police officers on foot on the concrete median, or on the side of the road with radars pointing in both directions. Speed limits are enforced heavily only in the morning hours. Awaiting cruisers are down the street in both directions.
Busch Boulevard near North Florida Avenue
Just after crossing the railroad tracks heading east on Busch Blvd. on the right. Usually a motorcycle unit positioned with radar gun and several chase cars parked nearby.
Interstate I-75 near County Trunk Pasco/Hillsborough
There is usually one or two trooper cars stationed underneath the overpass where I-75 crosses from Hillsborough to Pasco County. They target both northbound and southbound traffic. Also, if one is heading southbound and merges onto I-275 from I-75, troopers sometimes park a couple of miles down, since the speed limit suddenly drops from 70 to 60.
Interstate I-4 near Hard Rock Hotel & Ford Ampitheater
FHP frequently hide on the downward side of the hills on I-4 eastbound toward I-75. They also hide several cars between the pilings of the overpass near the Hardrock Hotel and point radar and laser toward traffic on I-4 headed westbound.
