Derbyshire Road and 10th Street

Holly Hill, FloridaFeb 17, 20101 Comments

Motorcycle cops sit under the tree on Derbyshire Rd. just south of 10th St. on the west side, in front of a house. Very hard to see in the shade of the tree. The speed limit is 30 mph. If you are doing 31+, you will get a ticket. Sometimes they also sit on Derbyshire Rd. right at 10th St. on the east side of the street. If you are speeding or don’t make a complete stop on 10th St. before turning onto Derbyshire Rd., you will get a ticket. They are there whenever the weather is nice, which is often during the summer, less in the winter.

Riverside Drive

Holly Hill, FloridaDec 31, 20091 Comments

Three Holly Hill Police Cars sitting behind the bushes just north of 4th Street on Riverside Drive they are stopping cars at a pace that I have not seen in 30 years of living in Florida…Witnessed 100 cars being pulled over in a 2 hour period. What they are doing can no way be constitutional! Police Driving on Sidewalks stopping cars and blocking side roads, disrupting traffic flow and Holly HIll Police themselves driving reckless at time to persue “speeders”.

Beach Street near Granada Boulevard

Holly Hill, FloridaOct 04, 20071 Comments

Starting from the Granada Bridge Rt(40)- heading South on S.Beach Street, speed limit is 35 mph. Road turns into Riverside Drive, continuing through Holly Hill and the speed limit turns to 25 mph. I’m told 1 mile over 25 mph will get you a ticket. Many tickets given out there!

walker Street near railroad tracks

Holly Hill, FloridaMar 16, 20061 Comments

On Walker Street there is a small gas station only to be used by the cops or city vehicles. So there can be cops there at any time. However they use it to their advantage and most of the time just sit behind the gate to catch people speeding. The speed limit is 25, go 30 and they have a reason to pull you over whether it be for the speeding, seatbelt, taillight or any other reason once you’re already stopped. So be really careful. chances of once being there about 65%.
