Homosassa, Florida Speed Traps

Every night around 8pm when I am on my way home from work. There is a patrol car sitting in the parking lot of the Harley Shop. The car is sometime sitting next to the tent or a little ways back in.

From Halls River road until a little after the bridge over the river, speed limit is only 25 and strictly enforced. Cars tend to wait in Wildlife Park lots or just over bridge making them nearly impossible to see in time. Over 30 will likely yield a stop and ticket.

Right where Veterans Expressway dead ins into Hwy 98, the speed drops from 70 to 50MPH. There is a cop sitting there, and he clocks you going 70s still, and notifies the cop on the shoulder around the curve. Another cop had just pulled someone over, and my cop was waiting for me with his lights on. Very unforgiving too.
