Hudson, Florida Speed Traps
Kitten Trail – Near the curve by Oakwood Drive
This is a dangerous curve anyway so the speed limit dropping from 40 to 25 MPH makes sense. As you round the curve on Kitten Trail, he is parked on the shoulder. SLOW DOWN!
Little Road between Denton Ave. & New York Ave.
FHP and/or Pasco sheriff’s deputies park in the median and target southbound motorists with laser radar. The cruisers are hidden by the grade and your caught as you clear the top.
Denton Ave and Peace Blvd. Between US 19 and Shady Hill Rd.
The speed varies from 30 to 40 to 45, then 35 to 30 to 40. This is an intentional speed trap. The FHP and Pasco co. sheriff is there almost ever day from about 8:00 AM to near 11:AM.
Hwy 19 south of Aripeka Fl
Hwy 19 as you come around the curve just south of Aripeka Road. They sit in Grace Memorial Gardens and they also have a plane in the air. This is especially bad toward the end of the month at morning rush hour. They usually have multiple units in the cemetery.
US Hwy 19 half way between Hudson Ave and SR 52 @ Funeral Hm
Across from Castriota Chevy the Pasco Sheriff Dept and the FHP sit in the parking lot next to Bank of America several times a month. Especially holiday weekends, morning and evening rush hour. The speed limit goes from 50 to 45 coming south on19 about 1/4 mile past Hudson Ave. They usually have 1 officer with the speed gun and several others that he radios speed to, there are usually 4-6 officers writing tickets, be careful sometimes its once a month other times they will be there several days and nights in a row. I live in a neighborhood across from where they sit and they come at random times and days and coming south on 19 you don’t see them until it’s too late due to a curve in the road.
