State Route 52 near Moon Lake Road

Hudson, FloridaSep 01, 20070 Comments

SR 52 between Moon Lake Rd. & the Suncoast Pkwy. was recently widened from 2 lanes to six lanes of traffic. During the yearlong plus construction, speed limit was 45 m.p.h. Now the widening project is complete, but the speed limit is (you guessed it) 45 m.p.h. They have deputies and troopers hidden on shoulders, mostly in the mornings. Speed limit should be 55-65, but what a nice opportunity to ‘cash in’.

US Highway 52 near Suncoast Parkway

Hudson, FloridaAug 28, 20070 Comments

The new 6 lanes are now open between the Parkway and Moon Lake Rd. The Posted speed limit is 45. On the east side of the Expressway is 2 lanes and it’s 55. On the west side of moon lake it’s 50. So there in no reason for this new section to be 45….WATCH OUT! They monitor it every day!
