Jacksonville, Florida Speed Traps
Southside Blvd south of J. Turner Butler Blvd
Police hide behind bushes on the south-bound side of the road. Drivers coming off the 65-mph speed of JTB on to the 45-mph speed of Southside Blvd will sometimes not slow down quickly enough or will fail to maintain the lower speed. Gotcha…
I-95 S before you get to the Phillips Highway exit.
Two state police officers were sitting on the Southside Blvd exit that crosses over I-95 with radar guns and the new Camero was pulling them over.
Martin Luther King Expressway between 8Th. Street and Railroad Overpass
Worked on both north and south sides of Xpressway by State Troopers and Sheriff’s Office working in teams. Officers normally concealed by the overpasses.
SR 9A between JTB and Baymeadows
JSO officers constantly grouping in mass numbers in cruisers and bikes under both the Gate Parkway exit and the Baymeadows exit. One cop climbs up the hill between the two overpasses and gingerly sets up the tripod near the guardrail…clocking traffic at the opposite overpass, a little too far to really tell if they are there or not. (5) miles over 65, and your going to be crying.
