Lake Helen, Florida Speed Traps

Definitely a trap. Officers sit on Tangerine or Lemon, facing Prevatt. Do NOT exceed posted limits from Northern city limits past Lake Pearl, Tangerine, Lemon, Ohio, Kicklighter to Southern City Limits.

Speed limit changes no less than 5 times in a 4 mile stretch Long straight smooth road with no businesses or homes (farm land) speed limit drops from 55 TO 40 thru barely noticible city limits.

Lake Helen Police are everywhere, so be careful. They espically hang out on Summit avenue. It runs from SR 46, passes over I-4, and runs to Main st. The first one hides in the bank on the corner of Main st. Next, they hide in the gas station up the road. Right before the I-4 bridge is a patch of woods with a hidden clearing. Sitting here, is the trap. Careful, as this one is hard to see.

Lake Helen is a scenic town without a tax base.

Summitt ave runis inbetween main st in lake helen to SR 46. The lake helen PD likes to catch students in a rush to DBCC west campus. In a hard to see driveway right before the bridge that goes over 1-4, they are waiting. Also, in the gas station on summitt av, they sit in the parking lot
