Lithia, Florida Speed Traps
Fish Hawk Trails Drive near Audubon Manor Boulevard
A marked police car sits around the corner (on Fish Hawk Blvd, usually after dark) without his (or her) lights on, waiting for cars to speed slightly over the limit, or not to stop at the stop sign. The 3-way stop sign is inside a residential neighborhood, and its right hand turners (that usually do a rolling stop) that get pulled over every time. Tired drivers, not paying attention… beware. This police officer is looking for you. He (or she) is there almost every night.
Lithia-Pinecrest Road near State Route 39 and FishHawk Trails
Sheriff’s Department regularly enforce the speed limit here, along all aspects of Lithia-Pinecrest Rd. It seems worse in the FishHawk area. Beware of Sheriff (marked car) that backs into tree line at SR 39, across the road from Ace Hardware. They have been spotted here at all hours, especially at dusk and after dark, including 4:30am. 4 members of my family have received tickets on Lithia-Pinecrest, 3 of which were only going 5mph over the speed limit.
