Longwood, Florida Speed Traps
Hunt Club Boulevard near Sand Lake Road
The patrol car sits in the middle of a well hidden tree lined median and clocks cars coming north on Hunt Club……slow down!
State Highway 434 near US Highway 17-92
Eastbound on 434 coming up to 17-92. There is a yellow x-hatch beginning about 100 yards before the intersection. Many many tickets issued for drivers entering the x-hatch to get in the left turn lane. On one day earlier this Spring, Longwood Police issued 20+ tickers.
Palm Springs Drive near State Route 434
My first ticket was on this road. Cops frequent Palm Springs Drive all of the time. They are parked on the sides of the road and can be out at any time of the day with radar. The cops are also unforgiving with their tickets. Be careful on this road!
State Route 17-92 near Shepard Avenue
Cop in silver Mustang. I see him with someone pulled over, in the same spot almost everyday. Somewhat between Shepard and the road to get to Big Tree Park. He’s usually got someone between 5:45 and 6:45pm.
Ronald Reagan Parkway near Longwood Lake Mary Road
Motorcycle cops usually on other side of Ronald Reagan in front of the baywood shopping center. If you are coming down Ronald Reagan from SR434, they will be on your right near a power station and looking to get you going anything over 45 (speed limit 40). It’s a two lane road and feels like it should be 45MPH zone.
