Longwood, Florida Speed Traps
Longwood Hills Road near State Highway 427
When turning from 427 onto Longwood Hills Rd (which later turns into E.E. Williamson Rd.), there is a sharp bend to the right at the bottom of a small hill. Just before the bend there is a small building tucked into some foliage. Officers park at this building with their cars hidden. One officer stands behind a tree with the radar gun, while the other officer simply steps out into the street and motions for people to pull in to the building at which they are hiding. The speed limit is 45 on 427, and 30 on Longwood Hills, so people are taking the turn fast, and going too fast down a hill. I see police there about twice a week on my way to work.

Bennett Drive near Bennett Drive
Usually two cops,in either motorcycle or unmarked cars , park on the side of building 1275 Bennett Dr. They hide behid a tree of the postal mailbox and each points his radar gun in each direction of traffic. 25 MPH is unreasonably slow and they know that. Different times of the day and at least three days a week.
State Highway 17-92 near Shepard Road
A marked police cruiser will sit at the side of the road near a Thai Market on 17-92, south of Shepard Road in Longwood. Once first patrol car gets you for speeding, a second police car, a Ford Expedition K-9, will stop cars that don’t move over or are going too fast by the first cop. The first cop also likes to sit on 427 near the Lamborghini delaership. I’ve been stopped at both locations by the same cop, and ticketed for speeding.
