Manatee, Florida Speed Traps
Cops catch northbound cars along 43rd Street West, heading towards Cortez Rd.
Random VASCAR speed enforcement detail on Northbound on I-75. After passing under a flyover (that brings I-275 traffic into I-75) you pass 2 while lines painted across all the lanes approximately 500 feet apart. An FHP officer (usually with chaser units) sits on the flyover with an excellent view of the cars passing thru this ‘speed zone’. His VASCAR unit determines the time it takes to travel through the ‘zone’ and the speeding vehicle is chased down and issued a ticket.
Police cars or bikes will sit behind the sign for Dolphin Aviation. Usually trapping northbound traffic.
When moving eastbound on Bayshore Gardens Parkway (MCC STUDENTS) you go over a small bridge that blocks your view of the upcoming Manatee County Sheriff and/or Highway Patrol sitting like a ducks in the drive through of GoodWill. Dont plead GUILTY!
