Moore Haven, Florida Speed Traps
On 27 coming over the bridge south of Moore Haven.
As you come over the bridge on 27 into Moore Haven the speed limit drops to an unreasonable 35 mph. Police sit at the bottom of the bridge with radar and pull people over right and left. One officer already had a person pulled over when we got stopped. Then as we were being given a ticket which started with him saying, “let me tell you what I was able to do for you. Instead of a $300 ticket I’m only writing it for 9 over.” Yeah, thanks. Lot. As he was saying that, the other patrol car did a turn around back to the bridge about 1,000 yards away, and immediately pulled over the next person. Moore Haven must be loaded from ticket money!!! Very shameful.
US 27 at the south end (east end) of town (the new bridge)
travelling into Moore Haven from Clewiston (north on US 27) in the middle of the bridge is the city limits (previous speed dropping from 65 down to 35 mph at the bridge) speed limit is 35 mph as you start down the bridge, law enforcement sits in the median at the bottom of the downgrade and nails those doing over the 35 mph, which is difficult because of the downgrade of the bridge

they wait for you to go over the bridge and not slow down to 35 mph and get you
