Nassau, Florida Speed Traps
As you cross the Shave Bridge leaving Amelia Island, 2 patrol cars using handheld laser are stationed in the median just off the end of the bridge. They get you after crosing the crown of the bridge as your momentum accelerates downward. They are there occasionally during morning rush for those heading off island.
The whole stretch of I-95 form the Georgia line to I-295 on the north side of Jacksonville (10-15 miles) is patrolled very aggressivly by the FHP. They sit on the far side of overpasses, on top of bridges and operate in packs of up to 8 cars and motorcycles pulling over up to 5 cars at a time. They will ticket for any speed over the limit and the fines are bad, not to mention the junk mail from driving schools.
