Motorcycle cops hide in bushes along 44 East of I 95 ramp to nail speeders going to the beach in New Smyrna.

US Highway 1 near Smith Street
usually two motorcycle patrolmen although have seen patrol cars at time. one officer will sit just before paint supply store(southern paint) the other will sit in a parking area just before public library on right side of road.
US Highway 1 near Nova Road
2 traps: Heading south on US1 from Nova Rd/Ridgewood Ave intersection, after crossing over the 2nd bridge you will come to a 2 mile straight-away. Cruisers AND motorcycles hide on the righthand side, behind trees and in the shade.
Heading North, the speed limit recently was changed to 45 mph before the bridge prior to the US1/Nova Rd intersection. Cruisers hide in various places on both sides of the road on the north side of the bridge to get people who didn’t know/ignored the 45 mph sign.
State Route 44 near Interstate 95
Heading east on S.R. 44 just past I-95. The speed limit drops from 55 to 45. Police set up in a vacant lot on the south side of 44 at Glencoe Rd. and ticket eastbound traffic. Present mostly on weekends and holidays targeting beach traffic.
