Niceville, Florida Speed Traps
Hwy 20 & Lancaster Dr
Sheriff & Hwy Patrol like to sit in the parking lot of White Wilson Medical Clinic just East of Lancaster Dr, especially in the early am hours. It’s good cover for them, since there are a lot tress blocking your view as you head East toward Blue Way. Heading into Niceville you won’t see them until you are parallel with them. The speed on Hwy 20 is posted at 45mph, and most people (including sheriff cars) are traveling in excess of 50.
400 E. John Sims Parkway
City patrolman sits ,with radar on the steps leading to a bank, across the street from two fast food restaurants. A partner pulls you over on a road leading to a church
State Highway 123
Any part of this road is highly patroled by FHP. It is only about 5 miles long with a passing lane on either side for a short bit, which is the most probably location for the speed trap. Bottom line just do the 55mph for 5 miles till you get to either end.
College Boulevard near Cedar Avenue
Police sit just over the top of a hill radaring East Bound cars. Speed limit drops to 35 from 40 just before the top of the hill.
Gen Robert Bond Boulevard near Lewis Turner Boulevard
State Police set up at the far end of this one way road (on the drivers left up against the tree line) which is a cut-off between two major highways. They can pick you up just as you crest a hill. Speed limit is 45 and drops to 35 near the end. I think the enforcement is in the 45 zone as people regularly go 50+.
