WARNING!!! When exiting off I-75 on to Sumter Blvd. Heading West. Just before the two lane road MERGES into one lane. Police LOVE to face oncoming traffic & also have their rear facing radar running for East bound travelers. Sometimes it is a "Dummy" car with no one in it, other times it is manned. BE CAREFUL!!

Officer sits off road near sidewalk just East of Glen Allen Elementary facing traffic coming from Biscayne Boulevard. Speed limit is 45 MPH in most areas except for here where it is 30 MPH. I stayed in the area after getting stopped, and the officer was busy writing several tickets. School is out for the summer.

The local North Port police especially, but also the Florida highway patrol. Alot of times they sit under an overpass bridge and clock the southbound lanes because of a wooded median to prevent northbound drivers warning the southbound drivers. They have someone pulled over almost every day I drive through this area(I commute through this area twice a day). They sometimes sit in the weeds, on the side of the road, and other places in this area. They also pace from behind in unmarked cars that do not look like police vehicles. They can be there any time it seems, but not usually after 10:00pm. This place is developing notoriaty in this area, especially the North Port PD.

Usually one to two cars positioned under over pass monitoring south bound speeds. Some mornings they do cover the north bound lanes.
