Oakland Park, Florida Speed Traps
NE 53rd CT & NE 4th Ave, Oakland Park Florida 33334
It a stop sign in a quiet residential area. Police are camped out there they got me for a “rolling stop”. I stopped but not completely, rolling back on my shocks. I saw he got someone else this morning in that exact spot. I am quite sure this is a trap.

Motorcycle cop(s) sit in strip mall parking lot with radar gun. Usually before 8am while traffic is still light.
Prospect Road (NE 44 ST) between Andrews and NE 6th AVE
Eastbound: about 300 or 400 block of Prospect. Westbound, about 100 or 200 Block of Prospect. Not often, but look out beginning and end of month.
E Commercial Blvd. between Dixie Hwy and NE 15th Ave
Eastbound: Around 1540 E Commercial Blvd. just past McDonalds on the right (as your heading eastbound).
Westbound: NE 12th or 13th Ave, Past Pirhana Pat’s and just before approaching tracks before Dixie Hwy.
Noticed two deputies checking eastbound traffic yesterday (4/27/10). Today, I noticed pneumatic tubes across road suggesting a traffic survey is in place. Oakland Park seems to have a ‘heads-up’ on when FDOT is surveying specific spots and does selective speed enforcement just prior to FDOT survey.
