Orlando, Florida Speed Traps
408 E/W expressway from 417 to research parkway
Challenger Parkway becomes the entrance to 408 going west. numerous traps from the exit of research park …Speed limit is 35 UNTIL you see the first 55 mph sign even tough you are on the express way already. The area is hilly and curvey so you can’t see the troopers until it is too late. There are also many troopers at the toll booths waiting for speeders through the “E”” pass lanes. “
SR 417 (Central Florida Greenway)
Florida Highway Patrol has been enforcing the stretch of the Greenway between I-4 and Orange Blossom Trail a lot more heavily. It’s fairly wide open without much traffic and a 65 mph speed limit-seen a lot of people travel between 70 and 85 mph-no reason why they can’t raise the speed limit to 70
Interstate 4
Seen Florida Highway Patrol and Orlando Police step up enforcement in the 50 mph zone on I-4 between Orange Blossom Trail and Lee Rd. Most traffic goes 60-70 mph in the 50 mph zone.
Corporate Blvd. Between Alafaya Trail and Rouse Road
This road goes through business complexes. The posted speed limit is 30 mph. which is totally unrealistic and in my opinion set at this rate for one reason only, to ticket motorists. Residental speed limits are set at 35, why would a business area be set to 35?? Be careful — motorcyle cops hide behind bushes and medians.
University Blvd. between Dean Rd. & Goldenrod Rd
LOOK OUT People! The FHP likes to control your speed on this stretch of road. Motorcycles and patrol cars.
