Motorcycle cops (Sheriff and FHP) routinely set up in the median between Brengle Avenue and John Young Parkway. The stretch between Mercy Dr and john young is 40 mph but most traffic flows at about 50-55. They don’t give warning tickets.

Motorcycle cops and a couple of unmarked cop cars sit in the parking lot of the Hyland Baptist Church on the corner of W. Silver Star and LaHavre Drive (across from the credit union and Willow Bend Apts) usually in the early morning hours between 6:30 and 10 am. The speed limit is 40 in this area once you get the past Evans High school, but few people drive that slowly through this area.
