Downhill HWY 98 at Bonita Bay Bridge entering Tyndall AF.

Panama City Beach, FloridaFeb 18, 20160 Comments

This is a 45mph zone; however, the closest speed limit sign is at the Flyby Coffee Shack in Parker. By the time the next speed limit sign is visible (45MPH) you’re over the bridge and the Air Force Police sit at the bottom with radar. No warnings here, it’s a federal citation. If you want to fight it, you’ll be in federal court. HWY 98 is a mix match of 45-55-65 mph.

Hwy. 98 E. of Phillips Inlet

Panama City Beach, FloridaAug 09, 20140 Comments

Hwy. Patrol hides just around the corner when heading E. Allege to catch you with Laser coming out of the turn. Claim to have tracked you even though you are in the middle of traffic all typically driving from 45–60mph in a 45mph zone. They claim it was you even when they didn’t actually track your vehicle since their is less than 2 seconds for them to do so, and you have witnesses in the vehicle, who all saw your speedometer at less than the quoted speed.

Hwy 79 North of Bridge

Panama City Beach, FloridaApr 16, 20130 Comments

Approx 6 miles north of Panama City Beach. West Bay bridge FHP sit on northwest side beside vacant house. Mostly unmarked black car, but sometimes marked cars that work in tandem. 45 means 45. Be careful.

Highway 388

Panama City Beach, FloridaDec 22, 20110 Comments

Highway 388 is the only highway leading to the new Northwest Florida International Airport. The speed limit is reasonable enough, but the rural highway invites speeding, and local lawmen are ALWAYS present with marked and un-marked cars as well as motorcycle police.
Motorist Beware! Exceed the speed limit and you will almost certainly pay a heavy price.

Hwy 79 bridge over Intercoastal

Panama City Beach, FloridaJun 22, 20111 Comments

Speed limit goes from 65 to 55 to 45 just before the bridge on the South side. Cops sit at the base of the bridge and get people on the downhill side going south. A great way to welcome people coming from the new airport!
