Holmberg Road near US Highway 441
Holberg Rd between Rte 441 and Riverside Dr. Only 1 lane in each direction except within approx. 1/4 mile of Rte 441. Posted limit is 30 mph and its very easy to be 10 mph (or more) over the limit and not realize it because 30 feels so slow. BSO took over from the now extinct Parkland P.D. and they give tickets to speeders liberally (no warnings!)Don’t pass because you get impatient behind someone driving at 30 mph. Especially avoid naturally speeding up when heading east and Holmberg goes to 2 lanes before 441. Its a ticket for sure.
Sawgrass Expressway between University Dr. and 441
The small stretch of the Sawgrass ,aka SR869, that runs through the city limits of Parkland is now patrolled by Parkland Police Officers running radar. While the entire city of Parkland is a speed trap, this area is especially enforced by at least one Officer each day. They sometimes hide in the median strip or use moving radar.
