Pembroke Pines, Florida Speed Traps
On S.W. 172nd Ave. Between Pines Blvd. & Pembroke Rd.
West side of 172nd Ave. across from Lido Isles development and the Charter School. Pines cops hide in the bushes and jump out into the street to stop vehicles.
Taft Street
Up and down Taft Street. From Flamingo to US-1. Most heavily concentrated between University and Flamingo. Watch out during the day. The night is pretty safe, but I personally got a ticket at night on Taft.
Taft Street
Taft Street is monitored for speed at a number of locations, so it’s best to watch your speed all along this stretch of road. Cops are especially prevalent on the westbound side of Taft Street, just before the light at Flamingo Road. Most often during PM rush hour, but I have seen them at other times as well. Guaranteed to be there the last few days of each month, too. Can you say “quota.””
