Navy Federal Parking Lots Off Highway 90 (9 Mile Road)

Pensacola, FloridaMay 22, 20180 Comments

I consistently see Escambia County Sheriffs marked SUVs sitting randomly in the many parking lots of the large Navy Federal complex off Highway 90 (the nightmare otherwise known as ‘9 Mile Road’).

I do not believe they are running stationary radar as they never move or face the road. I think they just park and hang out there on break or writing up reports. Drivers just be aware that they are in the area day and night ready to strike.

Is there a large unreported crime problem in the Navy Federal parking lots in this remote (Beulah) largely residential community that requires ECSD to park there constantly?

the school zone flashing lights are on from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm but the school does not let out till 4pm. The school 2 blocks away lets out at 1:50 but this set of lights is not the school zone for it. Police are writing tickets even when there are no students, busses, or traffic present. Letter to FDOT pending to reprogram.

watch out.
