Trap for vehicles coming over bridge over big canal between SE 7th and 8th ST. They sit just above SE 7th ST clocking NBound traffic and by the Mazda Dealer at SE 8th ST clocking SBound people.

Harbor Drive – NE 26th Ave

Pompano Beach, FloridaApr 29, 20100 Comments

Between Atlantic Blvd and maybe NE 8th ST. Used to be 35 limit, but since adding islands separating NB and SB traffic, limit is reduced to 25. Cars hide behind openings in medians and park crossways so that radar detectors don’t give advance warnings. Don’t help Sheriff by getting tagged for being cited for speeding in a definitely underposted location. Definite trap.

Atlantic Blvd. on North side for west bound traffic

Pompano Beach, FloridaApr 09, 20100 Comments

On north side of street in parking lot just west of Pat’s Place. They sit in lot with radar gun usually in the morning til about 11 am. This is the flip side of the east bound trap on the south side.

S. Dixie Hwy southbound before 15th St (McNabb) on right

Pompano Beach, FloridaApr 09, 20101 Comments

Southbound side of Dixie Highway just before Sotellis sub shop. Road is wide open and would seem to be 40 45 mph but is only 35mph speed limit. You come around corner from SW 6th Street (John Know Village Road) and they are sitting in bushes on the right waiting to nail you.

NE 5th Avenue between Copans & NE 10th Street

Deputies are usually beside any one of the pump stations just north of the Goodyear Blimp Base. They can nail northbound or southbound backed in out of sight. Sometimes they are south of the blimp hanger in the trees past the curve clocking southbound traffic. Mostly Saturdays but they like it any time. Watch the 35 mph speed limit! They got me south of the blimp doing 53. The BSO officers were really nice,,,,, as they wrote me up.
