Port Saint Lucie, Florida Speed Traps
Airoso Boulevard near Prima Vista Boulevard
This is one of the 2 main north/south corridors in the city. It is a 4 lane road, divided with a lovely grass and landscaped median and has broad sidewalks along both sides. Although many of the roads leading off it are 40mph, Airoso remains at 35 mph and it is rare to drive along it without seeing someone pulled over for speeding.
I 95 Overpass, Port St. Lucie West Blv. Exit
State Police shooting from over pass. Eight to ten chase cars. Seen as many as five cars pull over by five differant patrol cars.
California Blvd between St Lucie west and Del Rio
Watch out! Port Saint Lucie police are on both side of road hiding in the shadows and bushes. Because of poor street lighting on California Blvd, they are difficult to spot. They use strictly laser on this stretch which makes it impossible for even the best detector to pick up in time.
US 1, between Pt. St Lucie Blvd. and Martin County line
Enforcement alternates on both sides of the highway both north and southbound. Usually two or more cruisers are positioned on the north side in a convience store lot. On the southbound side they are in the lot of a small shopping center and grab you before you get into Martin county which is only about a quarter mile south. These traps are in St Lucie County. If you have a good detector you can pick them up some distance away as this is a six lane highway in this area and is a long straight stretch.
