Interstate 75 near Boyette Road
Travelling from Exit 246 (Apollo Beach) from south to north, heading towards Boyette Road, they sit in the median on the left just as you pass the overpass.
Boyette Road near US Highway 301
Boyette Rd. past US 301 there is a nasty speed trap due to construction. The speed in the construction are is 35mph, right after this area the speed goes back to 45mph. Less than 20 yards away the speed goes back to 35 for no reason and without prior warning (this is before reaching the hill curve before Balm-Riverview). Marked and unmarked vehicles keep watch in this area and have stopped many people in the past month.
US Highway 301 near Falkenberg Road
They post at the entrance of Progressive (Crescent View Drive…leads from 301-thru Progressive-to Falkenberg). They usually have one under the I75 overpass and have 2-3 motorcycles and 3-4 squad cars waiting ahead. It is really bad at lunch hour. They are also bad at evening rush hour under the I-75 overpass, catching people coming under it, in either direction. They have the lunch hour one about once a month, but hte PM one is at least once a week.
Progress/Falkenburg Road near Bloomingdale/Progress Road
The cops sit by the light where you can’t see them. They are there around 3:45-5:30 P.M. and are out in force. They average 8 tickets a day there to what i’ve read about it. Be careful!
Balm Riverview Road near Between McMullen LP and the YMCA Northbound
Hillsborough County Sheriff motorcycle officers will hide behind a homeowner’s personal vehicle underneath an oak tree and catch people coming around a blind corner. The speed limit is 35 MPH and this location is near Riverview High School. Students beware!
