Interstate 95 near World Golf Village Parkway

The Sheriff’s office claims radar and pacing. I have a radar detector and it never went off….Watch out for groups of officers. Please carefully read the ticket before the officer leaves. Officers will claim drivers driving at a higher speed than posted. Wrong! I got a ticket near the World Golf Village. The officer is claiming speeding in a construction zone. The construction is done. There are no construction workers or equipment. Please read last week’s paper. Construction at the Duval/ St. John’s county line & World Golf Village is finished. The officer said he was actually after a red truck but I switched to the passing lane, which prevented the officer in ticketing the car in front of me, and I got the ticket. I dearly wish I had a tape recorder. (I know this comes down to he said she said). The officer claims I was speeding at 75 Mph. I was in the middle lane (driving at 50 Mph behind a truck), and moved over to the passing lane. I did not have time to accelerate to 75 Mph, when the officer decided to pull me over. By the way, where I was pulled over (near World Golf Pkwy), the speed limit posted is 70 Mph. I have lived in this area for over 3 years. Also, on my ticket, the officer wrote on location of violation is State Road 9. I don’t know where State Road 9 is, but I know I got a ticket by my house, which is I-95 near the World Golf Parkway. I am an insurance adjuster, but I am on maternity leave. I promise everyone that my co-workers are aware of this, and I have friends in the industry that will know about this. I believe in Karma. I hope that these officers actions will be recorded on tape. (If I wasn’t on maternity leave, I would have had a tape recorder in my car, and I would have fought this in court). The officer said he was trying to get another car, but I got in his way just by switching lanes.

St. Johns County Sheriff’s cruiser sits in closed campgrounds. You will not see him until it is too late. Radar will go off ? mile from him

Approaching this intersection from the North, the speed limit drops from 65 to 55 to 45 in the space of a few hundred feet, not nearly enough time to decelerate by simply taking your foot off the gas. Not only that, but there is a high school about 1/4 mile west on 206, so the cops absolutely adore this intersection, and are there constantly.

San Marco – Anywhere, but particularly bad near US 1

The police hide behind buildings and park in private drives. The speed limit is 25. If you do not have local tags, go slower.

FHP cruise around this area alot especially around the exit with the outlet stores. unmarked ford trucks have been known to be used in this area as well as other marked SUVs. I personally, strangley got a high dosage of Ka band mysteriously as I passed, at a moderate pace, a small ford ranger with a camper shell that did have multiple antenna on it.
