Sanibel Causeway, both islands

Sanibel, FloridaJul 30, 20021 Comments

Lee County Sheriff sits behind the weigh station on the second island with 3 or 4 motorcycles ready to go. They stand with radar aimed at oncoming traffic (heading onto island) and they can/will pull you over once you’re on the island. On occasion they can be found behind other trees and bushes on the islands, but the weigh station is their favorite spot. If you see oncoming traffic flashing headlights, slow down – and if you see a cop hiding, flash your lights to warn others.
