06/10/07 Traveling S on US27 @ 10:45pm, Sun. night. Long stretch of highway, occasional commercial zone, occasional trafic lights. Speed limit changed regularly between 45 & 65mph ~ speed limit didn’t appear to go up or down in regards to how developed the stretch of hwy was. Some comercial areas were 65 & while sparse areas were 45.
I was clocked 75 in a 55 zone. Granted, I was speeding & would have received a ticket anyway, but truly thought the limit was 65.
Maybe this isn’t a trap for locals, but as an out of towner there was no rhyme or reason for the up & down of the limit.

Both City and County cruisers hide just out of site from motorists driving north. They sit just before the hospital on the right side of the road as you come approach town, by the time you see them it’s too late. I belive it’s laser.

27 Northbound just going into the Sebring City Limits. Usually 2 marked cruisers sit in front of the hospital clocking speeders northbound coming into the city. I have noticed this more and more throughout the morning than evening hours. The first cruiser usually clocks you and the second pulls you over. Sebring Police Dept also has 2 full time Traffic Enforcement Officers (both are marked Crown Victorias without lightbars on the roof) Most of Sebring PD’s regular patrol officers operate radar to.
