Sewall's Point, Florida Speed Traps
State Route A1A near Sewall’s Point Road
Between two bridges. The intersection at the bottom of these bridges or coming off of either in both East West directions.
Sewall’s Point Rd. between Jensen Beach and East Ocean Blvd.
The 25 MPH speed limit is not entirely unrealistic, given that the road is narrow and heavily poulated, primarily by residents of advanced age. Absent police presence (a rarity), traffic usually flows at 25-30 MPH, not an unsafe rate for this road in my experienced opinion. It’s interesting to note that that this section of the road is heavily travelled by many local non-Sewall’s Point residents as well as tourists, while that portion of the road south of East Ocen Blvd. (which eventually dead-ends and therefore is used almost exclusively by town residents and their service contractors) is patrolled rarely, if ever, for speeders. It is, however, heavilly patrolled for “are you supposed to be here?”” purposes. “
