Unknown radar/lidar but they hide behind the church sign which hides all but their window (including lightbar) very well. BE CAREFUL this is in the new tampa area just before i75 when headed west
50th Street near Fowler Avenue
1/2 mi. south of Fowler, officer stands in middle of street with laser gun – when you get close, they motion you to pull over. Several cop cars waiting on side street to write you up. Popular bypass to traffic jams at 56th and Fowler.
Bullard Boulevard near Busch Boulevard
They sit hiding be hinf a tree by the libary right after glen arven.
Crosstown Expressway near Exit Number 13 – US 301
Heading from Brandon into Tampa (westbound) FHP Camaro’s lurk with lights off behind cones, so they are almost impossible to spot without a radar detector separating new expressway section from existing. Speed limit decreases from 70 to 45 right there, so they have no problem nailing people coming over the hill before 301.
Cross Creek Boulevard near Bruce B. Downs Boulevard
As you turn right (continuous turn)off of Bruce B Downs (45 mph)the speed limit drops to a very unrealistic 35 mph. At the first break in the blvd (emergency signal), a uniformed officer will be standing with his laser gun and there will be approximately 6 patrol cars waiting.
