Tampa, Florida Speed Traps

A couple times a month you will see the sherrif running laser from the appt complex heading south just as you go over the bridge.

Officers have an easy time hiding on the busy corner of Kennedy and Ashley in downtown and like to target people turning from Kennedy left onto Ashley entering downtown.

Just installed on I-275 are numerous radar towers, starting just after I-75. They go until at least Busch (have not been past it lately) and are really too close to accelerate/decellerate between them. Again these are brand new, if you haven’t seen them yet, look next time you’re out. I drive this stretch every week and just noticed them this week (5/25/05). They don’t appear to be working yet, but should be soon since car patrols have dropped off.

A whole wolf pack of cops sits in the Heath Dept parking lot and wait in speeders coming up East 60 (east Jackson street) and pull em over.
