Tampa, Florida Speed Traps
Cross Creek Boulevard near Bruce B Downs Road
Tampa PD gets out of cars and stand by the fire station sending a officer into the road to direct you in to the station to write you a ticket… be really careful since the limit is 35 here and they will hide behind a power box untill they get your speed then step into the road… keep it 9 over or they will get ya…
Suncoast Parkway near Van Dyke Road
Use of unmarked vehicles and Highway Patrols sitting in the medians out of drivers vision. Occasionally using motorcycles which are even more difficult to detect. High enforcement, but the posted limit is given with warning flags. Trap has been going on for several months.
George Bean Parkway near Interstate 60
Airport Police sit behind trees on a turn entering airport and also sit by roads near the International mall
Veterans Expressway near Van Dyke
I don’t think I have ever driven through here between 1pm-7pm and there hasn’t been a State Trooper sitting near the exit here. The speed limit changes from 70 MPH to 60 MPH right here so, they try to catch all the speeders right before/after the change. They will pull you over if you’re doing 10+ over. Try to keep it under 9!
Interstate 275 near Bearss Avenue
On I-275 Between Bearss and the I-75 Junction I see at least one unmarked car. Some days I have seen as many 6 or 7 cop cars mixed between marked and unmarked sheriffs and Troopers
