Tampa, Florida Speed Traps
S. Tampa – Mississippi and Carolina
If turning off of Howard (near Sally O’Neals) onto Mississippi, cops in brown detective cars waiting for you after the railroad. BEWARE
Morris Bridge Rd. near I-75
Limit is 40 mph going westbound on Morris Bridge approaching I-75 jct. The road widens, and there’s a large sign to the right. Cop can easily hide behind or near sign; perfect trap for those who think the speed limit increased or just want to get past other drivers. Trap can also work in the other direction to affect westbound traffic who merge too fast off the highway.
Euclid Avenue between Westshore Blvd. and Dale Mabry
the speed limit is 30 mph and the police will hide down the streets that come off euclid (the circle streets) My ticket was $263.00. I was going 43.
State Rd 60 East from the airport 6/7/2011
This trap is really an ambush. I have never seen more cops in one location. laser with unmarked cars and motorcycle chasers. This was clearly abuse.with the new tech it took the cop a couple of minutes to write me a ticket. While I saw at least 6 other people being pulled over. The 50mph limit is unrealistic
