I-75, nothbound in Tampa’s City limits

Tampa, FloridaApr 13, 20110 Comments

I got trapped by a supposed reading on a radar gun of 70.2 MPH during morning rush hour traffic on my way home from a Keys vacation. Not only did the city police stop me but he had a state police vehicle as a backup!! I had intended to ignore the ticket (my option was to appear in court and dispute the ticket) but there appeared to be a cooperative agreement between Florida and Michigan (my home state), and Michigan said, if I didn’t pay, they would take my license!! Michigan, Florida and Tampa had an unbeatable racket going.

the entire Hillsborough County

The Entire Tampa City. I did lot of Cross Country driving in my +30 years driving, and Tampa is the worst I have seen. To confirm my belief, spoke to Truck Drivers, and they agreed. In California, it is against or was against the law for polices to rely on speeding ticket for their paycheck. Not in Tampa, it’s their paychecks and bonus and plus bonus.

just south of hillsborough on himes

you turn south on himes off of hillsborough and that instant a motercycle cop has a speed gun on you for a school zone speeding. You can not see the school zone sign until you turn the corner and it is too late!

Dale Mabry Hwy, just south of Busch Blvd

Cop hides behind small wall, as you come over Busch Blvd.
Your speed increases as you go down the hill, easy to get you going over 45mph

Palm Avenue west of Tampa Street

Tampa, FloridaJan 22, 20110 Comments

Officer on motorcycle hides behind little brick building and gets you on the near vacant section of Palm Avenue. Double lanes both ways and a ridiculous 30mph speed limit makes it easy to get caught over the speed limit.
Crime ridden Nebraska avenue is one block east but guess this is an easy money collection job rather than fighting the real problems.
